Smoothies, a Canadian athleisure brand, was founded by a visionary leader, Kiki, with a mission to create clothing that empowers women of all body types. With roots in body-positive summer camps for young women, Kiki built a grassroots community that organically grew into a successful brand in Alberta. However, she had reached a point where she struggled to scale her business and extend her vision nationwide. Smoothies needed a cohesive brand, a robust marketing strategy, and a digital presence that reflected its core values and engaged new markets.

Our approach with Smoothies was comprehensive, from refining the brand’s identity to building a marketing campaign that resonated with a nationwide audience.

Kiki had initially designed the brand’s logo herself, but it needed refinement to grow with the business. We transformed her original logo into a comprehensive design system that extended thoughtfully across marketing channels, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness. The new visual identity captured Smoothies’ body-positive ethos while giving it the sophistication needed to compete in the broader market.

A Branded E-commerce Site Built for Growth

Smoothies’ e-commerce store was performing well locally, but it needed an overhaul to scale and compete nationally. We focused on refining the store by centering it around its most popular and profitable products, helping Smoothies gain momentum in new markets. The website was optimized for user experience, with clear navigation and a smooth shopping process.

Capturing Confidence: A Lifestyle Photoshoot that Embodies Smoothies’ Mission

To bring the brand’s new identity and messaging to life, we organized a custom photoshoot in Vancouver. The goal was to capture the spirit and soul of Smoothies—empowering, confident, and real. This content was used across broader paid and social media campaigns on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. We also produced video testimonials from real customers, creating authentic connections with the audience and further reinforcing Smoothies’ commitment to body positivity.
