In a softly lit museum space near NYU, a marble sculpture depicts two figures in a tender embrace. One, with wings, leans over the other, who reclines elegantly against the backdrop of large windows.

A digital space for Italian culture—recognized on the global stage.

We’ve never been the kind of agency that puts awards at the centre of what we do.

Maybe it’s a Canadian thing—head down, focused on the work, letting results speak louder than recognition. For us, success has always been measured by impact: how a project performs, what it unlocks for the client, how it resonates with the people it’s meant for.

That instinct to build over broadcast still runs deep. But the landscape is shifting.

Search is changing. Discovery is increasingly shaped by algorithms and AI. And in a sea of sameness, trust and visibility aren’t just earned through outcomes—they’re signalled through recognition. Awards, in this new context, aren’t just about prestige. They’re about findability. They help the right people find the right work.

So today, we’re pressing pause to share something we’re genuinely proud of:
Our collaboration with NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò has been nominated for a Webby Award in the Community category.

Designing for depth: honouring legacy, enabling connection

Casa Italiana is a cultural centre at NYU with a long history of dialogue across language, art, philosophy, and politics. It operates at the intersection of scholarship and identity, anchoring a global community in something living—something present.

When we were invited to reimagine its digital presence, the challenge was clear: preserve the institution’s intellectual depth while opening it up to broader engagement. No spectacle. No over-designed noise. Just a digital experience rooted in clarity, structure, and cultural respect.

We built a platform that holds space for the richness of Casa Italiana’s programming without flattening it into content blocks. It invites participation without pandering. It gives language, exhibitions, publications, and lectures room to breathe—and audiences, near and far, a way to engage with meaning on their own terms.

Strong partnerships sharpen good work

Projects like this don’t happen in isolation. They require alignment, conviction, and creative tension in all the right places.

Giuseppe and the Casa Italiana team brought an unwavering clarity of purpose—paired with the kind of openness that makes collaboration work. The broader NYU stakeholders were thoughtful and decisive, helping us move with momentum and integrity.

Inside Takt, this project activated every discipline—strategy, UX, design, development, content. The process was rigorous and fluid at once. Teams collaborated without friction, and decisions were driven by the same north star: build something worthy of the institution it serves.

If you believe in this kind of work—help us amplify it

The Community category at the Webby Awards is public-voted. Every signal of support—every vote—helps this project reach a wider audience.

We’re proud of the final product. But we’re prouder of how it was made: with care, discipline, and a shared commitment to cultural integrity.
